Diving in Similan

Did a 4D/4N LOB on the MV Black Manta in Similan.  Boarded the boat in the evening on 17 Feb 2011.  Did 14 dives, of which 3 were night dives, in Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Richelieu Rock and Boonsung Wreck.  Back to port in the afternoon of 21 Feb 2011.

Here are some of the shots taken during these dives.

#04 – Porcelain Crab (Neopetrolisthes maculata) using its fan-like antenna to filter food from the water.

#12 – Juvenile Rock Mover Wrasse.

Of all the dives, the best was the last dive at Boonsung wreck where the most macro will found.  There was also a large school of Jacks circling around the wreck.  The wreck was a sunken tin dredger and was broken up into several parts after the 2004 tsunami.  It sits on a sandy bottom with lots of silt.  Here are the shots taken at this dive site.
