Komodo Dive Trip (Day 1 of 7) 6 Oct 2012

After spending 3 days relaxing in Bali, we flew on the 6 Oct 2012 to Labuan Bajo to board our LOB, KM Black Manta, for 6 days of diving at Komodo.  Our Wings’ Flight IW1830,  a Lion Air subsidiary, took off at 13:35pm with only a slight 20 minutes delay and arrived just past 3pm.  Black Manta cruise director Cedric was there to meet us.  A 15 minutes drive and we were at the jetty where the zodiacs ferried us on board Black Manta.

The boat started off immediately while we were being briefed and our cabins assigned.  Once settled, we began to rig up our dive gear and camera setup, ready for our very 1st check-out dive.  The sun was already setting when we started our dive at 5:45pm at a nearby dive site called Bidadari.  Did a 67 mins dive with a max depth of 13.4m only as this was supposed to be a check-out dive, plus it was like a night dive when we hit the water.  The critters at this dive site was quite amazing.
